Jackson has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Jackson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Jackson wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Abby Carville, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Harrells Christian Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over Faith Christian on Tuesday.
Like Grace Christian, Harrells Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Sabrina Batts. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over ten innings while giving up seven earned (and one unearned) runs off 12 hits (and only one walk). Batts was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and a triple.
In other batting news, Makenzie Jackson was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Brianna Carr was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI.
Grace Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Harrells Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
