Normangee is 1-7 against Centerville since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Normangee came out on top against Latexo on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Panthers blew past the Tigers 10-1. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.

Wyatt Kimich made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Cade Harris was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.
Centerville not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2025 (when they won 15-0). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Lovelady a 10-0 shutout. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Normangee's record now sits at 8-2. As for Centerville, their record is now 4-1.
Normangee suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Centerville in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
