Nathan Witt and Cameron Klann provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Briggsdale. The connection went for 63 yards, the longest such play in A-6 Southeast (6 Man) this season.
Liberty/Stratton took down Colorado School for the Deaf & Blind 59-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Trevor Thompson threw for 48 yards and 2 touchdowns and caught 1 passes for 33 yards in the win.
Klann was the best receiver in the league this week as Flagler fell to the Falcons. Klann tallied 3 receptions for 91 yards. Ty Conrad helped Flagler's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 33 yards.
Tyler McAuley was the best running back in the league this week. In 9 carries, he ran for 90 yards as the Eagles fell to Briggsdale. Teammate Kyle English added to the ground attack by rushing for 55 yards.
Witt was a key player and the best on defense this week as Flagler fell to Rick Mondt's team. The 5-foot-7 junior.
David Mettee put up the best numbers in passing as Deer Trail fell to Kit Carson. He finished with 11 completions for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns. Mettee's favorite target this week was Tyler Loveless, who caught 5 passes for 94 yards.
Leading A-6 Southeast (6 Man) in both passing and receiving yards, the Eagles' Mettee and Dalton Eldringhoff have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-8 quarterback Mettee has thrown for 254 yards this season, while Eldringhoff has 9 catches for 138 yards. Ty Oakley from Jason Saffer's team leads the league in rushing with 240 yards.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Deer Trail and the Panthers face off next week.
