After a string of 12 wins, Lake Highlands's good fortune finally ran out  on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Waxahachie Indians by a score of  3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the  3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in November of 2019.
 In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Lake Highlands sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-22, 23-25,  15-9.
 Lake Highlands'  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Carrigan Anderly, who  had eight  digs and two  aces, and  Brylie Woodbury, who  had 15  digs and one assist. Anderly is also on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 14 or more in each of the last 14 games she's  played.  Amelia Hoppers also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  digs of the season.
Lake Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 27-8. As for Waxahachie, they pushed their record up to 31-13 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home.
 Lake Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waxahachie, they will take on Midway at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
