Basketball Recap: Mogadore Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Mogadore entered their tilt with Our Lady of the Elms on Monday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Our Lady of the Elms Panthers 55-15. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Mogadore's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amelia Morris, who posted 14 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasey Bolyard, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 10 points and seven rebounds.

Mogadore smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 39 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Mogadore's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.1 points per game. As for Our Lady of the Elms, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Mogadore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-32 loss against John F. Kennedy Catholic on the 15th. Our Lady of the Elms has also already played their next match (against Mentor Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
