The Neah Bay Red Devils had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47.3 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 78-14 victory over Sound Christian. The result was nothing new for Neah Bay, who have now won seven matches by 30 points or more so far this season.
Jodell Wimberly got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 230 yards and five touchdowns on only nine carries. Wimberly has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Swan, who rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns.
Neah Bay's win was their fourth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Sound Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
Neah Bay will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Winlock. Winlock will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 25th, while Neah Bay is ranked fourth). Sound Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
