The Navasota Rattlers will be playing at home against the Needville Bluejays at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Navasota is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
Navasota suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Bellville by a score of 52-50.
Meanwhile, Needville waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 47-37 win over Bellville. Given Needville's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Bellville is ranked 809th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Bohdan Zeitz, who scored 20 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Caden Slater was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Navasota's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Needville, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Navasota strolled past Needville when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 59-41. Will Navasota repeat their success, or does Needville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
