The Crooms Academy Panthers lost against the Forest Lake Academy Panthers back in February of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Crooms Academy took a 55-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Crooms Academy has struggled against the Panthers recently, as their contest on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Crooms Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jayden Aristile scored 20 points along with three steals. Aristile hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrell Johnson, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Crooms Academy now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Forest Lake Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-8.
Crooms Academy will square off against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crescent City is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Forest Lake Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
