Rickards is 0-6-1 against Taylor County since February of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Rickards is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
Rickards will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against FAMU DRS on Monday. The Raiders blew past the Baby Rattlers 18-3. Considering the Raiders have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Sheyenne Holmes made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Holmes was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.

In other batting news, Aiyanna Garcia was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brookyln Schimek, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Taylor County came up short against Trenton on Monday and fell 8-5. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Kiersten Carter was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Jayden Freed was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run.
Rickards pushed their record up to 9-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for Taylor County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.
Rickards' speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Raiders have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Taylor County, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Rickards continue to outrun the ball?
Rickards suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Taylor County in their previous matchup on Wednesday. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
