Avon Old Farms dropped their record down to 15-4 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 9-2 to the Westminster School Martlets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Beavers have suffered since March 28th.

As for Westminster School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games.

For Westminster School's part, the team relied heavily on Matthew Shea, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Shea has become a key player for the Martlets: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Alex Mihailovich, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
