The Napavine Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Kalama Chinooks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Napavine is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Napavine has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Toutle Lake with a sharp 55-34 victory on Wednesday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Napavine has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Napavine to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keira O'Neill, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. Those 16 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Kaut, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, Kalama's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 48-39 to Castle Rock.
Napavine's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Kalama, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Napavine against Kalama in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 63-32 victory. With Napavine ahead 33-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
