A Region 1 recap November 5, 2013
Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock extended the longest winning streak in A Region 1 this week by beating Oakes, 16-9. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Milnor/North Sargent took down North Prairie co-op [Rolette/Wolford/Rolla] 33-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Tornadoes' Bryce Meehl and Ethan Zetocha have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Meehl has thrown for 1,762 yards this season, while Zetocha has 33 catches for 697 yards. Seth Abaurrea from Carrington leads the league in rushing with 831 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between the Bulldogs and Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock. Milnor/North Sargent comes into the matchup ranked 18th in the state, while Daniel Imdieke's team ranks 15th.
Eric Olson's team led A Region 1 in scoring this week after putting up 33 points on the Comets.
