The Divine Savior Academy Sharks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a rough 34-8 defeat at the hands of Coral Shores. While losing is never fun, Divine Savior Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 606th, while Coral Shores is ranked 276th).
Divine Savior Academy used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Alessia Silva,
Sofia Mueller, and
Evie Hoppe posted two points each. Mueller also led the team in rebounds with ten.
Divine Savior Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Coral Shores, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Divine Savior Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Downtown Doral at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Downtown Doral comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Coral Shores, they will head out on the road to face off against Keys Gate at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Keys Gate is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
