Monmouth United had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans. The result was nothing new for the Red Storm, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Tanner Rogers looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Egan Marshall, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Scott, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.

Monmouth United pushed their record up to 28-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, they are on a 33-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-32.

Looking ahead, Monmouth United will head out to square off against Midwest Central at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bushnell-Prairie City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
