Amir Young was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals for West Florida. Another player making a difference was Brayden Justice, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
Lighthouse Private Christian Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for West Florida, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lighthouse Private Christian Academy will take on Destin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Destin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. As for West Florida, they will be playing at home against Pensacola Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pensacola Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 657th, while West Florida is ranked 283rd).
