The Lawrence Academy Warriors won the last time they faced the Albemarle School Colts, and things went their way on Friday too. Lawrence Academy strolled past the Colts with points to spare, taking the game 51-32. Given Lawrence Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Colts are ranked 360th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lawrence Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trinity Congleton, who scored 12 points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Jaslene Ethridge, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, Albemarle School still got an impressive performance from Madelyn Delosreyes, who scored 16 points along with six steals. Delosreyes hasn't dropped below three steals for ten straight games.
Lawrence Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Albemarle School, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.
