The Marian Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 63-15 defeat at the hands of Edison Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Marian has scored all season.
Mckenzie Swanson was Marian's leading scorer, having posted four points. Swanson also led the team in rebounds with six.
Marian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Edison Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Marian will be playing in front of their home fans against Divine Child at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Divine Child will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 471st, while Marian is ranked 129th). As for Edison Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Wayne Memorial at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
