The Foothill Cougars waltzed into Saturday's match with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 77-65 victory over Oakwood. Given Foothill's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Oakwood is ranked 969th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tyler Zanhiser continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Van Warren, who scored 15 points.
Foothill's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Oakwood, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Foothill is on the road again on Thursday and play against Fairfield at 5:00 p.m. on December 14th. As for Oakwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Summit Shasta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
