Karson Lacombe and Preston Guillory certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Lacombe scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Guillory scored two points along with two blocks. Lacombe is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 19 games he's played.
The win (which was Sacred Heart's third in a row) raised their record to 12-12. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for False River, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
Sacred Heart's road trip will continue as they head out to face Westminster Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Westminster Academy is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for False River, False River and North Central will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in North Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games.
