The Heartland Mustangs waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against El Dorado Christian by a score of 60-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Heartland also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Heartland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zach Stone, who scored 21 points along with six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Martinez, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Heartland has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for El Dorado Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.
Heartland won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Christ Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. El Dorado Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
