John Weaver Iv Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Sadly, John Weaver Iv posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Steele Canyon over Grossmont on Friday. Weaver Iv rushed for 243 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 44 receiving yards and a touchdown. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (112.2) per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Weaver Iv and Steele Canyon will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mount Miguel at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th. Weaver Iv will face off against Kj Shields, the Matadors' star running back. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game.
