Stanwood  took care of business in their home opener  (barely) on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Nathan Hale Raiders  3-2. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered  a  4-1  loss the last time these two teams met.

 Tanner Requa looked comfortable as he  pitched four innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. What's more,  he posted two  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.
