Corinth Holders hasn't had much luck against Willow Spring recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pirates will head out to square off against the Storm at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Corinth Holders took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let South Garner get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Mia Gwynn, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Marks, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.
Willow Spring not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 18th (when they won 18-0). They blew past Southeast Raleigh 18-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Storm considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Carly Simon was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Morgan Derby also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Willow Spring is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Corinth Holders, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Corinth Holders hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Willow Spring struggles in that department as they've averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Corinth Holders took their win against Willow Spring when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 9-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
