The Downsville Demons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 31-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beekman. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Downsville in their matchups with Beekman: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Downsville still got an impressive performance from Piper Bennett, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Bennett scored a full 50% of Downsville's points, the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzlie Smith, who scored four points along with three steals.
Downsville has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Beekman, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Downsville's road trip will continue as they head out to face LaSalle at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th. As for Beekman, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on D'Arbonne Woods at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. D'Arbonne Woods and Beekman are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
