2A - North recap September 24, 2013
South Summit added to the longest winning streak in 2A - North this week by beating Summit Academy, 57-6. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Wildcats.
Layton Christian Academy and North Sevier played the most contested game in the league this week, with Layton Christian Academy eventually emerging with a 9-7 victory.
Neil Davis and Lincoln Henderson gave American Leadership Academy a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Davis threw for 97 yards, while Henderson ran for 160 yards. Davis also contributed to the rushing game with 81 yards on the ground.

Jeffrey Robison was the best receiver in the league this week as Millard bested North Summit. Robison racked up 2 receptions for 51 yards.

Davis put up the best numbers in passing as American Leadership Academy fell to Gunnison Valley. Davis' favorite target this week was Travis Morrill, who caught 2 passes for 47 yards.
Pierce Whitaker made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Eagles defeated the Braves. He forced 2 fumbles.
The Bulldogs' Tyson Moosman and Jacob Hatch have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Moosman has thrown for 603 yards this season, while Hatch, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 31 catches for 542 yards. Henderson from Chas Ryan's team leads the league in rushing with 658 yards.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Gunnison Valley's Hatch goes up against South Summit's Jordan McNair.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Yori Ludvigson's team and Jerry Parker's team face off next week.
Next week's game between the Bulldogs and the Wildcats will feature a good passing match up as Moosman will test his arm against McNair's defensive ability.
