After having lost a blowout in their previous game against McGill-Toolen, the Robertsdale Golden Bears were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They managed a 50-46 victory over Spanish Fort. This was payback for Robertsdale, who suffered a 46-14 loss the last time these two teams met.
Robertsdale got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mallorie Rothe out in front who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Rothe hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Johansen, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Robertsdale has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Spanish Fort, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.
Robertsdale will head out on the road to face off against Baldwin County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Baldwin County is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. Spanish Fort will take on McGill-Toolen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. McGill-Toolen is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
