If the Albert Gallatin Colonials were riding high off their 82-54 takedown of the Laurel Highlands Mustangs last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Albert Gallatin fell to the Warriors 76-71. Albert Gallatin has not had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Colonials players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Blake White, who scored 26 points. White has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Shymere Wilson, who scored 16 points.
Albert Gallatin has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Elizabeth Forward, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albert Gallatin won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Raiders at 12:30 p.m. on February 3rd. As for Elizabeth Forward, they will head out on the road to square off against the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Uniontown presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in Pennsylvania (the Red Raiders are ranked 38th, while the Warriors are ranked 171st).
