It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but University had no problem doing just that on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Booker T. Washington Warriors 49-47. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Washington's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Antaniya Britt, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds, and Leanna Carpenter, who went 7-for-13 to rack up 18 points and five boards. Britt is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Malia Johnson, who posted seven points and four steals.
University's victory bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Booker T. Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 16-13.
