In what's become a running theme this season, the Montrose Red Hawks gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Delta, posting a 60-30 win at home. With that victory, Montrose brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
It was another big night for Kaleb Ferguson, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Killen, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Delta's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tucker Johnson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Erik Baier, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Montrose's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Delta, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Montrose's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Alamosa at 4:00 p.m. on February 10th. Montrose is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season. As for Delta, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Aspen at 6:30 p.m. on February 9th. Aspen will be up against Delta's rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.17 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing.
