The Northgate Vikings pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their rough 75-55 loss to Harris County might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northgate in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost eight in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Northgate lost, one person who can't be blamed is DeAsia Stinson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Stinson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Arnold, who scored 12 points.
Northgate's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Harris County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.
Northgate will be playing at home against the at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harris County, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Manchester focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Tuesday.
