Softball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends North Sanpete's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but North Sanpete unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 5-1 to the Carbon Dinos. The game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Shea Rawlinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, North Sanpete saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alivia Madsen, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

North Sanpete's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Carbon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.

Looking ahead, North Sanpete will challenge Hunter at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Carbon, they will host Duchesne at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dinos will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
