The Universal Academy Falcons and the Bayshore Christian Faith Warriors squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Universal Academy Falcons had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Faith Warriors on the road and fell 75-34. Universal Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.
Jace Jreisat was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points for Bayshore Christian. Jreisat hasn't dropped below 15 points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Tylan Lewis, who scored 19 points.
Universal Academy are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.3 points per game. As for Bayshore Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-19.
Universal Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bayshore Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Brandon Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 8th. Bayshore Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
