It was a good run, but  the Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays unfortunately witnessed the end of their  eight-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Conemaugh Township by a score of  60-57. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Conemaugh Valley has scored all season.
 Despite the loss, Conemaugh Valley still got an impressive performance from   Landon Percinsky, who  dropped  a double-double on 21 points and 14  rebounds. Percinsky is on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as he's  now  pulled down eight or more in the last 13 games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaylen Henry, who  scored 13 points.
 Conemaugh Township's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jon Updyke, who  scored 21 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals. Updyke has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last 14 times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Ethan Matera, who  scored 17 points along with nine  rebounds and seven  steals.
 Conemaugh Valley's loss  ended  a  ten-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 16-2. As for Conemaugh Township, their victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 14-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conemaugh Valley will  face off against United at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. United has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 400 points over their last six games. As for Conemaugh Township, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Portage at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Portage will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 381st, while Conemaugh Township is ranked 96th).
