There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. The action included a dizzyingly high 120-point combined score from Skyview and Meridian.
Can't Touch This
Idaho Falls got a 59 - 32 win over Bonneville last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Cameron Conrad. Conrad rushed for 225 yards and four touchdowns. That performance landed Conrad among the top power-ranked players for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between Madison and Skyline, 6th and 9th in the power rankings, respectively. Madison was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as it fell 13 - 6 to Skyline. As a result, Madison fell one position in the power rankings.
Movin on Up
Skyview will have a better view of things this week after its strong showing last week propelled it five spots up the power rankings. That was the biggest rise of the week. It strolled past Meridian with points to spare, taking the game 70 - 50. The Meridian defense has struggled this season (giving up an average of 35 points per game), and Skyview took advantage of that.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Lewiston (20th in the power rankings) and Eagle (8th). This will be the second home game in a row for Eagle. Don't be surprised if the score for this one pushes triple digits as Lewiston and Eagle both racked up points last week.
