Basketball Recap: Klein Oak Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Klein Oak extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Clarah Obenofunde. The Klein Oak Panthers blew past the Magnolia West Mustangs 58-19 on Tuesday thanks in part to Obenofunde, who went 11 for 15 on her way to 24 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Klein Oak is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for Magnolia West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Klein Oak and Magnolia West could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings.
