Softball Recap: Forest Hills Central's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Catholic Central, Forest Hills Central was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Hastings Saxons 14-7. The result was nothing new for the Rangers, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Peyton Robinson was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Keeley Sprik, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Forest Hills Central's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12. As for Hastings, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Forest Hills Central will challenge Godwin Heights at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Hastings will be paying especially close attention to Forest Hills Central's matchup: after Forest Hills Central faces off against Godwin Heights, they'll take on Hastings again at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
