The Carrollton Warriors lost to the Minerva Lions back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Carrollton came out on top against Minerva by a score of 56-45. Carrollton pushed the score to 45-25 by the end of the third, a deficit Minerva cut but never quite recovered from.
Lincoln Mallarnee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Carrollton's points. Another player making a difference was Braylen Murphy, who scored 14 points.
Carrollton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. As for Minerva, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.
Carrollton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Indian Valley at 6:45 p.m. on February 20th. As for Minerva, they will head out on the road to square off against Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
