Basketball Game Preview: Rockledge Raiders vs. Titusville Terriers

Rockledge is 10-0 against Titusville since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Rockledge Raiders will take on the Titusville Terriers in a tournament on Friday. Rockledge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.

Rockledge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 76-55 margin over Merritt Island on Wednesday. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Mustangs are ranked 522nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rockledge found their leader in sophomore Brady Kearns, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kearns has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Damien Bryant, who went 6 for 10 en route to 13 points and six assists.

Rockledge was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Titusville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They snuck past the Tigers with a 49-43 win.

Titusville's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Rockledge, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Rockledge beat Titusville 52-44 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rockledge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
