Salem had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Timberlane Owls. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by just one run.

Salem pushed their record up to 14-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Timberlane, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10-1 record this season.

Salem will be playing in front of their home fans against Merrimack at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Timberlane does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
