Snohomish and Everett are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Panthers will square off against the Seagulls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Snohomish will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Snohomish had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Marysville-Pilchuck on Friday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Tomahawks. Considering the Panthers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Rider Walsh made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Enzo Porletto looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
Walsh wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Rude, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Rude has posted since back in March of 2024. Reiken Bursch was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Everett fell victim to Meadowdale and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mavericks. The Seagulls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Snohomish pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Everett, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
Snohomish's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's matchup. The Panthers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Everett, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Snohomish continue to outrun the ball?
Snohomish couldn't quite get it done against Everett in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
