With a playoff game on the line, the Torres Toros rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Broncos 69-14 on the road. The result was nothing new for Torres, who have now won nine matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Although Dos Palos took the loss, they still got scores from Jacquez Jones and Peyton Van worth.
The win (which was Torres' sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.0 points per game. As for Dos Palos, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2.
Torres will head out on the road to face off against Jurupa Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jurupa Hills is on a three-game streak of home wins, Torres a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Dos Palos does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
