Fairview is 0-4 against Cashion since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will take on the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Cashion will be up against a hot Fairview squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Yellowjackets blew past Thomas-Fay-Custer 11-3 on Monday.

Gavin Ewing made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Ethan McEachern was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Wyatt Schmitz, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Cashion got themselves on the board against Minco on Monday, but Minco never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Garret Mckeever looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Cashion let Aidan Berry and Zach Sisson run wild. Berry scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2, while Sisson scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Those runs were Berry's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Nabavi, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
Cashion was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Minco only posted a batting average of .154.
Cashion's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Fairview, their record is now 6-9.
Fairview suffered a grim 15-5 defeat to Cashion in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
