Gilroy will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Soledad at 5:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Gilroy had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-55 to Oak Grove. Gilroy were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-35.
Soledad also just played their first game, also were on the road, and also didn't get the result they wanted. They took a serious blow against Palma last Friday, falling 6-52.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
