Olivia Nazarenus was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Shannon Mentz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Olivia Delviscio, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
