The Pinecrest Prep Crocs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against Horeb Christian as Pinecrest Prep made off with a 71-49 win. The score was close at the half, but Pinecrest Prep pulled away in the second half with 42 points.
Pinecrest Prep found their leader in underclassman Gabriel Guzman , who scored 23 points along with five assists and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Guzman has scored at least 25% of Pinecrest Prep's points. Aaron Castellon was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine steals.
Horeb Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Wilson, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Manny Cid, Jr., who scored 11 points.
Pinecrest Prep's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Horeb Christian, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Pinecrest Prep will be playing at home against Palm Glades Prep Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Horeb Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Franklin Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 12th. Franklin Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
