Punahou had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 victory over the Kahuku Red Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Buff n' Blue have posted against the Red Raiders since December 20, 2017.

Punahou's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Kahuku, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, Punahou will take on Leilehua in a tournament on Thursday. As for Kahuku, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mid-Pacific Institute at 5:00 p.m. on December 10.
