The Northmor Golden Knights waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They strolled past East Knox with points to spare, taking the game 61-44. Northmor pushed the score to 47-25 by the end of the third, a deficit East Knox cut but never quite recovered from.
Leading Northmor to victory were Grant Bentley and Jax Wenger. Bentley scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Wenger scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Bentley has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 12 times he's played. Drew Hammond was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Northmor is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for East Knox, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Northmor will take on Cardington-Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Knox, they will head out on the road to face off against Centerburg at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
