Even though Institute of Tech has not done well against the Bears recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Institute of Tech came out on top against the Bears by a score of 52-45. The win was all the more spectacular given Institute of Tech's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Bears are ranked 96th).
Meanwhile, Homer scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. Everything went their way against Mexico as Homer made off with a 75-51 victory.
Institute of Tech's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Homer, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
