St. John the Baptist is 0-10 against Chaminade since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Even though St. John the Baptist has not done well against St. Anthony's recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. St. John the Baptist came out on top against St. Anthony's by a score of 49-38.
Meanwhile, Chaminade pushed their score all the way to 88 on January 7th, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to St. Raymond Boys 93-88. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game back in December of 2023 (59), Chaminade still had to take the loss.
St. John the Baptist now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Chaminade, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.
St. John the Baptist opened the new year with a less-than-successful 73-64 defeat to Chaminade. Can St. John the Baptist avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
