The Fairmont Heights Hornets won the last time they faced the Crossland Cavaliers, and things went their way  on Thursday too. Fairmont Heights blew past Crossland 45-24.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fairmont Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Angela Green, who  scored 16 points along with seven  steals and six  assists. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which  Green has scored at least a third of Fairmont Heights' points.  Amaya May was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with 14  rebounds and five  blocks.
 When it comes to explaining why Crossland lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Kendra Gaton. Despite the final result, she  scored 22 points.
 Fairmont Heights' win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Crossland, their loss was  their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 3-13.
 Fairmont Heights will  square off against Northwestern at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Fairmont Heights is facing Northwestern at the right time seeing as Northwestern is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Crossland, they will be playing at home against International High School at Largo at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Crossland comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the  squad is of course eager to reverse.
